Missouri Bar Foundation Honors Andrew O’Brien with Lon O. Hocker Award
September 2001
On September 14, 2001, the Missouri Bar Foundation presented Andrew O’Brien with the prestigious Lon O. Hocker Award for “outstanding trial work by young lawyer members of The Missouri Bar.” Only three such annual awards are given in the entire state.
The honor was based on Andrew’s extensive record of successful asbestos litigation. Wade Hamp Ford, president of the Missouri Bar Foundation, wrote that he was “pleased to acknowledge [Andrew’s] significant and outstanding accomplishments.”
Andrew accepted the award at the annual meeting of the Missouri Bar in Springfield.
